A normal facial cleanser removes dirt through the use of surfactants, but the problem with surfactants is that they don’t really get deep enough into the pores. This is where activated charcoal comes in handy since it has the potential to extract dirt from the deepest depths where they can get stuck in pores and cause infections or breakouts.
Why We Love Activated Charcoal
It is naturally derived and a renewable resource. Its large, natural surface area allows it to absorb the toxins that stand in its way, meaning no bullshit remains on your skin’s surface or in your pores.
Shutting Down The B.S.
We didn’t think we would be adding a charcoal mask to our line. To be honest, it seemed kind of overrated (we blame Instagram)! It wasn’t until we realized how harmful some of these masks really are that we decided to be a part of the solution and give people a safer, more potent option. To help you draw out toxins and tighten pores, we recruited the usual suspects (charcoal) and added our own spin to it with moisturizers and detoxifiers.
